The live version of The Flaming Lips Yoshimi
is "wicked fucking good." It sounds so epic and melodramatic with the piano, horns, echo effects... Almost Elton John-esque.
I'm sitting here, listening to to it again and again, getting all into it... all emotional and shit. Then I realize that the song is about a Japanese girl who battles evil, pink, flesh eating robots. There really isn't anything to get worked up about. Wayne Coyne is just messing with my head again
