Red Star Records Vs. Heinekin
The legendary punk label, Red Star Records, home to bands such as the Ramones, the New York Dolls, Walter Steding, and the Fleshtones is under threat. Unfortunately, the label not only houses seminal punk groups, but also adopts the punk-slacker attitude, as they have never trademarked their name. So now, backed by nut-warmers Epic Records (Sony), Heinekin is trying to steal the name from them because they want a label promoting "urban" artists due to the lack of sales in the black community. And for all you non-alcoholics, Heinekin have a red star on their bottles; hence, their wanting to steal the name. Court dates are unknown so far, but we here at TinyMixtapes will inform you as soon as we can so you can get tickets.
