Fine Print Magazine
heeft problemen met andere indie-magazines, met nieuwe bandjes, nieuwe journalistiek en vooral met zichzelf: "Music magazines are not music magazines any longer, they are crusades. Crusades to find the next food source, the next Golden Child, the next thing to fuck."
"You damn kids turning on Dave Bazaan -- it's pathetic. Two years ago you sobbed about him changing your lives, and now you're calling him yesterday's indie fetish. Grow up. Good song writers are good song writers, and they don't need your cheap ass look-at-me finder's fee approval to do what they are born to do, and have their songs, new and old (if they are indeed GOOD songs, which most of Dave's are), live on well past your tired little hen house politics. In fact, I guarantee that this new and magnificent Pedro record had nothing to do with your traitorizing ways. You can jump back on your imaginary bandwagon if you want, but Dave ain't pulling your insecure-shit-wagon -- he never was. He owes us nothing. It is a motherfucking privilege to hear his songs."
